Intel D87C51FC - MCS-51 microcontroller (1980) : weekend die-shot

8051 (MCS-51) is a grandfather of today's embedded electronics, and probably can still natively run 20% of embedded code in use today. 87C51 is a version where internal PROM is replaced with EPROM. It has 4KiB of UV-erasable EPROM and 128 bytes of SRAM. This is the first chip to survive Zeptobars lab visit as I have more plans for it. Die size 6143x4380 µm. EPROM cell size 102.1µm², SRAM cell size 941µm².

CS2018EB - special purpose driver for microwave oven : weekend die-shot

CS2018 includes buzzer driver, and 4 relay drivers (2 + 2 safety channels). This is the chip that plays it's role in saving you from surprise microwave irradiation if you open microwave oven's door while it is working (even though there are multiple safety interlocks - do not try this at home!).
Die size 1740x1050 µm.
